Description of the website

The vaccine safety part of the webpage of Public Health Ontario is a member of the WHO-led project Vaccine Safety Net (VSN).

These webpages are designed to provide information related to vaccine safety surveillance in the province of Ontario. 

This information is relevant to key system partners including health professionals who administer immunizations to the public, as well as local public health units who are responsible for investigating and documenting reports of adverse events. 

It contains reporting forms, surveillance data reports, presentations, publications, external vaccine safety resources and pertinent contact information for the immunization team at Public Health Ontario.

Website’s content or editorial policy

Web content related to vaccine safety is developed by the Immunization & Vaccine Preventable Diseases team at Public Health Ontario.

This team is made up of public health physicians, nurse and epidemiologists. Web content is approved by the Chief of the Department. The webpage is reviewed and updated semi-annually, at minimum.
