CAV-AEP is fully funded by the Spanish Association of Paediatrics (AEP), whose source of income is membership quotas and collaboration agreements with food and pharmaceutical industry. AEP has a sponsorship public transparency policy.

There is no direct economic relationship between the website editors and AEP sponsors. Advice and recommendations published in the website rest on the independent criteria of the experts of the Advisory Committee and is based on the scientific evidence available. Professional relationship with Pharma industry is established under the terms and conditions contained in the document “Ethical Framework of the AEP”, available on the website. This site does not contain external advertising. Information on sponsors policy is available on the website.

Website’s content or editorial policy

Website content is arranged by target groups: health-care professionals, general public and media. There are specific sections on immunization schedules, vaccine-preventable diseases and vaccine safety. Both public and professionals visitors, can interact with the CAV-AEP through the Q&A section “Ask CAV-AEP”. There is also a vaccine news section.

This website includes an online-updated Handbook of Immunizations in Spanish: Manual de Vacunas en línea de la AEP. Website content is developed by the members of the CAV-AEP. Website published statements and the recommended vaccine schedule stand for the official AEP policy on immunization.
